We are currently hiring an Account Manager, reporting to the Head of Sales and Account Management. The purpose of the role is to maintain excellent business relationships with allocated key clients; create strategic and impactful relationships across the client stakeholder group; understand operational impact of the services Ixaris provides and seek to optimize and grow the business opportunities in those accounts. 

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing and growing a portfolio of client relationships across our existing and new account base. This involves leadership, building strong, open working relationships at as many levels as possible within these key client organisations. Also, responsibility for optimizing client satisfaction and Ixaris revenue /profitability 
  • The acquisition of new business (cross and up-selling) from new market segments within the client organisations
  • Planning, communicating and assisting in the deployment of the service to clients to minimize the time to deployment and maximize the utility of the service
  • Having lead responsibility on each account, and enabling strategic interaction from other parts of the Ixaris business - for example from Ixaris Senior management team into each client

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Relationship Management:  strong, open working relationships at as many levels as possible within the client’s organisation

You will need to understand:

  • Market(s) in which Ixaris operates
  • Existing service provision & contractual arrangements
  • Ixaris product offering
  • Key Contact: From both the client and Ixaris’ perspectives, take the position of account owner.   For example:  your client will know to call you first regarding any account management matters, when there’s a new business opportunity to discuss, or when there’s a need to escalate an issue. 
  • Revenue & Profit Maximization: Ensure that all services within your client accounts are optimized from a profitability/margin perspective.   Identify and develop new opportunities within each assigned client account by introducing and presenting new service features.  Keep abreast of industry news and gather information on competitors and new payment services and opportunities.
  • Account Planning & Forecasting: Create and maintain account plans for each client account and review with Head of Sales and Account Management at regular one-to-one meetings.   Provide a rolling forecast of anticipated activity for each client.
  • Conduct quarterly and annual client review meetings with key customers to reflect performance against shared targets and agree intervention approach where necessary
  • For new market segments: develop opportunities with customers new to Ixaris proposition
  • Resourcing: Liaise with relevant technical and other resources regarding up-coming projects to enable effective resource planning.
  • Administration & Departmental duties: Work effectively with other Ixaris staff and take the lead where appropriate regarding contracts, invoicing, payment chasing, etc.  Implement best practices at the Account Management level. Contribute to overall development of the Sales department.

The ideal candidate for this role:

  • Ideally 5+ years relevant industry experience selling payment solutions to the travel and/or travel assistance industry, with proven competence in communicating payment technology and payment service concepts or relevant industry experience in Payment or Financial Services
  • Experienced across all aspects of the Sales Cycle understanding the demands through each step of the process through to Contract and pricing negotiation
  • Comfortable delivering presentations both over the phone and in person to all levels of client organizations including senior treasury, finance and procurement teams
  • An experienced account manager with a track record of eliciting the customer's pain(s) and addressing the issue with his or her offerings (product and services)
  • Experienced in delivering finely tuned responses to RFI/RFP processes from Enterprise level organisations.  Accomplished orator capable of delivering deal closing Best and final presentations

  • Intelligent and perceptive.  A creative and original thinker with the ability to generate innovative solutions and suggestions to meet a wide range of business challenges.

  • Ability to influence at all levels internally and externally

Skills:

  • Experience in formulating and driving long-term strategic account plans and roadmaps.
  • Organisational skills including scheduling, meeting administration and attention to detail
  • Communication skills and proven experience in managing client relationships
  • Experience working with Sales Force for tracking client activity
  • Numerate & Literate
  • Strong proposal writing & presentation skills
  • PSP/Virtual Card/payments company background – experience of SaaS solutions useful

Other:

Must be able to travel to client meetings across Europe as required
